 "My artistic progression in a nutshell was art school, to art model, to art. After graduation from Mississippi State University in 1994, I put my camera into a closet somewhere and forgot about it. Eventually I found my way in front of a camera and enjoyed a career as a successful alternative model. I found myself being the subject but having ideas of my own which I eventually expressed to a fellow photographer friend who basically put a camera in my hand and said, “Shoot!” so I did. I simply strive to capture what I find beautiful. If my images have a purpose at all, that purpose is to demystify sexuality.... to take the hidden and showcase the beauty in it, to take sex and human sexuality and show the inherent grace and beauty therein." |
